


Tom Burns
Licensed since 1979, Tom Burns is the owner of Burns & Ellis, Realtors along with his wife, Terry. He and Terry have two children (and one black lab) whom they have raised in Dover. Having lived in Delaware nearly all of his life (Dover since 1979), Tom has become exceptionally involved in community affairs and knows the town like the back of his hand.
� Tom was a board member of the BayHealth Medical Center from 1988 until 2007, and was Chairman of the Board from 2003-2007.
� Tom has been a Trustee since 2002 at his alma mater, The University of Delaware.
� He also currently serves on the Advisory Board for Wilmington Savings Fund Society.
Tom has not only shown remarkable commitment to the local area, but he also remains very active in the Kent County Association of Realtors.
� Tom was the Small Business Person of the Year for 2003!
� He was the Realtor of the Year in 2000!
� Tom earned the Leslie B. Gooden Award for Meritorious Service in both 1997 and 2000 and now 2009!
� He was the President of the Kent County Association of Realtors in 2000.
� In 2001, Tom was the State Director At Large for the Delaware Association of Realtors.
� Tom recently chaired the Delaware Association of Realtors' Statewide committee to create a first ever statewide Sales Agreement - a three year task!
